Product analytics can be hard, that much we can probably all agree on. How many times have you had a question about your data, such as "How many users per country use my product on average?" only to discover you need to be an SQL whizz to get the answer?
Like with a lot of day-to-day problems, AI tools are trying to fix them. June AI is one of those tools.
Launched yesterday, June AI aims to make the whole process a lot easier by letting you ask complex analytical questions in plain English with GPT-4's help. This isn't the first time the founders of June have simplified analytics. On its first launch, back in 2021, June got a lot of positive feedback from the community for allowing companies to get instant analytics reports for their products. It went on to pick up a nomination in the 2021 Golden Kitty Awards and a win this year.
Fast forward to 2023, and the team noticed that their users wanted more flexibility. They had specific questions that June didn't have the ability to answer yet, according to co-founder Enzo Avigo. The team started playing with the idea of June writing SQL just as GPT-4 was released.
Once you integrate June AI into your product, you can then ask complex questions in plain English. From there, June takes your question, translates it into SQL, extracts an answer, and presents it to you in English.
You can go back and tweak the SQL if you want to get even more granular, and you can save the queries so that you and your team have access to the answers you need.
