ATT Twitter folk: Have you started calling it 'X' yet? According to a recent poll, 79% of X users in the US say they are aware of the change, but 69% of them still refer to the platform as 'Twitter' and to posts as 'tweets.' What about you?
It's Monday. All around the world, people are waking up to a fresh week, full of possibility. Can you feel it? All that exciting, unknowable potential? If not, it's worth asking yourself why.
Maybe something is blocking your way forward; maybe you need to reach out for some support? Maybe you're too busy? Maybe you need to sit quietly for a few moments this morning and just… breathe?
It's easy to forget to give yourself the gift of time and space, especially on a Monday morning. And yet, an essential condition of being able to act effectively at work and in life is time. Time for thought, time for reflection, time for planning.
Here are six new tools to help you create more space in your days and mind:
🕠 Kyugo syncs with your current calendar to automate scheduling for work, meetings, and free time, in an effort to help you attain that ever-elusive work-life balance.
Created by maker and UX designer Tom Garcy, the mobile app was developed with a clock-like interface to better represent the way humans experience time, and has a bunch of neat, aesthetic features to help users block off personal time, visualize busier days, and ease cognitive overload around planning.
🧘 Formed is a habit builder for iOS and macOS with a few interesting mechanics. Want to master your morning routine? Formed lets you set a target date for when you think your AM habit stack will become second nature, for example, so there's a light at the end of the tunnel for you to work towards. The app can also notify your friends when you "fail" to keep you more accountable to your goals.
Cristian Moisei, product designer and maker of Formed, has just released Solid Apps: A bundle of 5 new productivity apps all designed to help you make positive changes to your lifestyle. Be sure to check out Ultra Focus (an AI timer for work), Solid Diary (an AI journal), Solid Calendar, and Zones (an app to organize your life by areas).
