With the AI hype cycle raging on with no signs of slowing down, many may have forgotten about another post-pandemic area of massive growth and opportunity: Low- and no-code.
Following Softr's first 'soft launch' on Product Hunt in August 2020, the young, Berlin-founded no-code startup disclosed $2.2 million in seed funding in January 2021. A year later, they followed that up with $13.5 million raised in a Series A round.
Initially, the tool focused on helping users build no-code websites on top of data in Airtable.
Even before expanding their ecosystem and addressable market with Softr for Google Sheets in April this year, CEO Mariam Hakobyan told TechCrunch+ that Softr "grew its annual recurring revenue 3x from December 2021 to December 2022."
As Ruchin Kulkarni (ex Sequoia) observed, "Softr is legendary amongst Product Hunt circles for bagging not one but two Product of the Day medals. Their second launch went on to win Product of the Year at the 2021 Golden Kitty Awards."
Today, Softr is launching Softr Universe: A new medium for anyone to discover, share and use templates created by Softr's no-code community.
"It's a perfect place for creators to showcase Softr skills, generate new leads, and be recognized as a top no-coder," says Hakobyan.

- Zing by Trainn records workflows, 'automagically' applies zooms and spotlights, and adds voiceovers to walkthroughs, demos, and training videos.
- Bucket gathers engagement metrics and qualitative insights, so makers can measure the customer satisfaction associated with new features.
