Design animation can be tricky, even for the more seasoned designers. To make matters worse, animation software has historically been known to be complex, as it takes time and perseverance to master it.
We've seen breakthrough tools like Spline work to make 3D animation design more accessible and less overwhelming. Today, a new player launched on Product Hunt, and it's got a fitting name.
Cascadeur is an AI-assisted animation software that wants to speed up and simplify the animation process. Some if its features include AutoPosing, an AI-based tool that lets you move the main control points while the AI positions the rest of the body automatically. The AutoPhysics tool helps you make animation physically accurate in one click.
One of the makers of Cascadeur, Eugene Dyabin, says that he got the idea "16 years ago when I was at University. Back then it was an in-house project for 'Shadow Fight,' our mobile fighting series." He also shares that since its initial release at the end of last year, over 100,000 users have registered to try out the product.

Here's what Nathaniel Albright had to share: "I can make an animation in a fraction of the time it would take to hand-key in a traditional 3D application and the ability to easily clean up dense mocap data interactively in the viewport… it's a thing of beauty."
